Students must meet all of the prerequisites listed below, meet their financial obligations with the college, and acknowledge their understanding of the college’s policies and procedures provided in the student handbook, prior to starting classes.
- High school graduation or equivalent *
* (From an English language teaching institution)
OR
- Mature student status **
** (19 years of age upon starting classes, and Pass college’s admissions test.)
Program notes:
1. Students who have allergies will be required to provide written authorization from their family physician to enrol in the course.
If a student becomes aware of animal allergy issues during the program, he/she will be asked to provide written approval from their family physician to continue their studies. Students who fail to disclose known allergies to animals prior to registering may be ineligible to start or continue their studies upon discovery.
2. The college may request an entrance interview between the student and the campus director or designate as part of the admissions process.
3. Students are recommended to have gained work experience and/or volunteerism in small, large or exotic animal facilities, boarding kennels, animal adoption centres, animal transport team members, or other veterinary-related experience.
4. Possessing education exhibiting strong English communication and biological sciences is a strong asset for preferred applicants to the program.
